Medical Chiropractic
Medical Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the spinal column and the nervous system. It is based on the philosophy that nerve impulses must be able to flow through the body without obstruction to experience optimal health. These desires become obstructed when the vertebrae in the spine are not aligned due to some reasons ranging from bad posture to an injury. Therefore, the purpose of a chiropractor is to re-align the spine to allow the nerve impulses to flow freely.
Medical chiropractic, basing on the belief that smooth nerve impulses are essential for archiving optimal health, significantly focuses on the interdependence between the spinal column and the nervous systems. For example, nerve impulses would be obstructed, as a result of spinal vertebrae alignment due to poor posture or injury. Chiropractors thus help to realign the spine for a smoother and healthier flow of nerve impulses.
Chiropractors believe that the spine is the most important element of a body, in which it serves as a "communication highway" between the brain and the body. If incorrectly aligned, the body's self-recovery system would not be as efficient or even malfunctioning.
Chiropractic is thus one of the most popular forms of complementary medicine and can be used to treat a broad range of health issues such as back pain and headaches.
