Scoliosis
Scoliosis is the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine. Effective scoliosis treatment has been proved to reduce the incidence of surgery. In particular, the Schroth method (by Katharina Schroth, Germany) and bracing have demonstrated the ability to reduce the need for surgery when compared with non-treated patients.
The Schroth method is an exercise method that aims to improve the postural component of the curve, thereby reducing the asymmetric loading and lessening the power of the progressive cycle.
Schroth Exercises are customized for your unique spinal deformation. The method teaches you to:
-
Correct spinal rotation and increase lung capacity with a rotational breathing technique.
-
Help restore normal spinal position with pelvic corrections, breathing technique, and stabilizing isometric contractions.
-
Improve your posture during routine daily living, not just during therapy.

Correction of the Activities include:
-
Daily Living (ADL) in standing, sitting and while walking
-
Rehabilitation of walk
-
Learn the Schroth Best Practice Exercise

We aim to:
-
Facilitate correction of the asymmetric posture
-
Teach the client to maintain the corrected posture in their activities of daily living
-
stabilize the spine through specific stabilization exercises
-
retrain faulty movement patterns and poor postures
